Day 127 Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 1-2, John 5:1-29, Psalm 106:1-14 and Proverb 14:28-29 
What a curious question to ask an invalid, ‘Do you want to get well?’ Does it surprise you that in this man’s story he starts complaining rather than shouting, ‘Yes’? Being healed means we have to take responsibility for ourselves; we cannot use our favourite excuses as crutches anymore. So what about you and me? Do we really want to see healing or are we too comfortable with our problems?

"Dear Lord, help us to take responsibility for the problems we face. We don’t want to focus on excuses or complaints but rather focus on faith in your power to carry us through all tribulations. Deliverance and healing are in your hand, almighty God, my trust is in you. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
