Day 141 Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 29-31, John 11:45-57, Psalm 118:1-18 and Proverb 15:24-26 
Fear is a powerful debilitating force. It can leave us helpless; frozen in place, unable to move. But the psalmist knew God and his love was even more powerful than fear. Having the Lord on our side gives us the courage of David facing Goliath or of Elijah against the prophets of Baal. With the Lord as my helper, "I will look in triumph on my enemies."

"Dear Lord, too often I let fear dominate my life. I realize my fear comes from trusting in my own strength or my own support and resources. Forgive me, Lord. Help me to rely on you and not be afraid. Remind me that whatever man can do to me is far less than what you have already done for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
