Day 150 Bible Reading: 2 Samuel 15-16, John 18:25-40, Psalm 119:113-128 and Proverb 16:10-11 
Human nature says we want to live and we want to live well. And what a lot of efforts we channel to these ends! Doubtless, social status and money in the bank will bring a measure of comfort and security. But we Christians know that life itself is a gift from God, and our life-giving hope is also from Him.
"Uphold me according to your promise, that I may live, and let me not be put to shame in my hope!" – Psalm 119:116 (English Standard Version)
"Lord, my confidence is grounded in You. Thank you for upholding me. Let the Scripture today be my prayer so that I may live well, and have hope that will lift me out from the pit of shame. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
