Day 212 Bible Reading: 2 Chronicles 29, Romans 14, Psalm 24 and Proverb 20:12 
In times of trouble, how do you continue to believe when you haven't heard an inspired Word from the Lord? Today's passage allows us to know what not to do - perhaps as a warning. We shouldn't turn away from what is right. We should not turn to other "gods" because it seems to bring success to others when we don't see our blessings in light of the Truth. We can learn from Ahaz's despicable acts - don't do them! God help us!
"Therefore the wrath of the Lord came on Judah and Jerusalem, and he has made them an object of horror, of astonishment, and of hissing, as you see with your own eyes." – 2 Chronicles 29:8 (English Standard Version)
"Lord, help us to be faithful when we don't feel Your presence or love or direction. Help us not to turn aside from loving and following You. In times of trouble, be our Shepherd, Provider, and Strength. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Thank You. In Jesus' name, Amen."
