Day 272 Bible Reading: Isaiah 58-59, Philippians 1:1-11, Psalm 71 and Proverbs 24:9-10
In time past, when King David felt the infirmities of old age creeping up, he appealed to God for Divine compassion. Today, someone around you may be silently crying out as David did. Will you do something about it?
"Do not cast me off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength is spent." – Psalm 71:9 (English Standard Version)
"Lord, You are my friend when I am young and when I am weak and helpless in my old age. Now that I have the strength to care for the elderly, please show me how to do it well. Grant me also a loving heart towards the aged so I will do it with grace and respect. If I am reaching the age where you deem care is needed for me, please direct somebody with the compassion to care for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
