Day 305 Bible Reading: Ezekiel 1-3, Hebrews 3, Psalm 103:11-12 and Proverbs 26:24-26 
God delivered the Israelites from Egypt through powerful signs and miracles, and in the wilderness of Sinai, he spoke to them and gave them his law. And even in their journey through the wilderness, God’s presence was there for all to see, in the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night. But the Israelites hardened their hearts and were not obedient so in the end, except for Joshua and Caleb, none of the generation of Israelites who left Egypt entered the Promised Land and they died in the wilderness. What about us? How do we respond to the voice of God when he speaks to us? Do we just listen and then live the way we want to or are we obedient to his voice? Let us not be rebellious as the Israelites were.
"Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, 'Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, on the day of testing in the wilderness, where your fathers put me to the test and saw my works for forty years. Therefore I was provoked with that generation, and said, "They always go astray in their heart; they have not known my ways." "Lord Jesus, we want to be obedient to your voice. Give us the strength to put to death our self-centredness. Let us be quick to hear and obey all that you tell us to do. In Jesus' name, Amen."
