Day 5 Reading: Genesis 11-12, Matthew 5:1-26, Psalm 5 and Proverb 1:24-28 
God sent Isaiah to bring good news to those who are poor in spirit (Isaiah 61:1). This might not be understood by the world. When you are rich, people will say you are so blessed. In the same way, when you are rich in spirit, you are blessed. But God said that Blessed are the poor not the rich in spirit. God will come to those who are afflicted. When our hearts are humble and hungry for Him, His kingdom will come to us now because our hearts are longing for His will to be done on earth as we want to live a lifestyle of His kingdom on earth. When we obey His sovereignty, we will inherit His Kingdom on earth here and now.

"Dear Father Lord, our hearts are longing for you and your kingdom. We pray that your kingdom comes and reigns in our lives on earth. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
