Day 8 Reading: Genesis 18-19, Matthew 6:19-34, Psalm 8 and Proverb 2:6-15 
Cities offer convenience, cultural, social and material advantages, but these can have adverse consequences. Will we give up the familiar and comfortable to go down a seemingly strange and difficult route in obedience to God so we may have a more meaningful life? There are two kingdoms, Kingdom of God and kingdom of this world. Do we want to have His presence, His rule and His relationship or do we want something in life whoch doesn’t have His presence?
"Behold, this city is near enough to flee to, and it is a little one. Let me escape there—is it not a little one?—and my life will be saved!" – Genesis 19:20 (English Standard Version)
"Lord, I do not want to be a captive of a worldly lifestyle. Protect me from that seemingly easy way that brings forth corruption and hopelessness. Lord, increase my trust in You and we want to choose Your Kingdom, so I will submit and follow where You direct me to go. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
