Day 26 Reading: Exodus 2-3, Matthew 17, Psalm 22:1-18 and Proverb 5:7-14 
Like Peter, James and John, we sometimes take the wonder and glory of God too lightly. He becomes quite ordinary; just one of the guys. Father, yes … king, maybe … but still on a rather flesh-and-blood human level. Then comes the magnificent shock of glory. The protective covering is gone and we, too, fall down terrified.
"And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light." – Matthew 17:2 (English Standard Version)
"Dear Lord, I stand in awe of you today. Forgive me for so often times taking you for granted, for failing to appreciate your astounding holiness and glory. I am conscious of the reverence rising within me in beholding your glory. Adoration and praise belong to you. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
