Day 43 Bible Reading: Exodus 34, Matthew 27:1-31, Psalm 33:12-22 and Proverb 9:1-6
How could the atrocity of Anti-Semitism or the genocide in Rwanda happen? One reason was that people saw and knew wrongs but failed to stand up against evils. Today’s Scripture shows that when Pilate absolved himself of his duty and let the riotous mob take control, the innocents suffered. But you know what? Nothing can alter the sovereign will of God. Even through this incident, God's will was done.
"So when Pilate saw that he was gaining nothing, but rather that a riot was beginning, he took water and washed his hands before the crowd, saying, 'I am innocent of this man's blood; see to it yourselves.'" – Matthew 27:24 (English Standard Version)
"Lord, let your will be done on earth, and I pray that I will always seek your righteousness in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
