Day 87 Bible Reading: Deuteronomy 9-10, Luke 8:1-18, Psalm 69:19-36 and Proverb 12:2-3 
There are times when we "tune out" or lose focus, or our attention redirects itself to somewhere else than where it should be. Some folks call their ability "multi-tasking." A direct result or consequence of this action is found in today's scripture verse. Jesus teaches us how we should listen, -- "carefully." Jesus simply spoke, "Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear." This kind of hearing requires effort, focus, and a mental effort to process God's message. The blessing is that we will receive more! What is He saying to you today?
"Take care then how you hear, for to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he thinks that he has will be taken away." – Luke 8:18 (English Standard Version)
"Please forgive me Lord for not giving you my full attention to your Word and Holy Spirit. Help me during church services, Bible readings, and cell groups to focus on the message and think about what you are saying to me. Grant me the ears to hear your Truth in the midst of noise and daily distractions. In Jesus' name, Amen."
