Day 97 Bible Reading: Deuteronomy 32, Luke 12:1-34, Psalm 78:14-55 and Proverb 12:21-23 
Everything you own will one day either be thrown out or given to someone else. Think about it. The more you have, the more you will leave behind. No wonder Jesus here warns us about confusing the value of life with the value of things. You are more than what you can buy. Furthermore, an astronomical net worth adds nothing to your value to God. Relationship lasts not things!

"Dear Lord, help me to guard my heart against materialism and greed. I want to be contented with what you give me without the endless pursuit of worldly possessions. My eyes and my heart are focused on the true wealth of eternal value in you. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
