Day 132 Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 12-13, John 7:1-31, Psalm 108 and Proverb 15:4 
Too often like spoiled kids we want things on our schedule; right now. Without perspective we can see only the immediate present. We do things based on our limited time perspective, not on God’s covenant time perspective. God is over time and over history. He created us in His own image with His purpose and story. God’s timing is irrelevant. We are invited to partner with God, in His time and His story. In fact, like the disciples we sometimes find it troublesome. How much better though to learn patience when He so leads … and action when it is called for!

"Dear Lord, it is not our natural tendency to be patient, to be calm and wait in faith. So often we want our own agenda and instant gratification, or else, we blame and complain. Forgive us, Lord. Help us to be patient, to trust your perfect timing because you are over time and history. Your will is perfect. Nothing will go wrong when we put our full trust in you. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
