Day 142 Bible Reading: 2 Samuel 1-2, John 12, Psalm 118:19-29 and Proverb 15:27-28 
Even miracles don’t automatically lead people to God. Jesus had healed the blind and lame, fed thousands of people with virtually nothing; turned water into wine, he’d raised Lazarus from the dead! What more could he do? Yet, sadly, for unresponsive hearts, no sign or wonder is enough. After all, faith “is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”

"Dear Lord, I realize I’m sometimes attracted more to the ‘magic’ or drama of miracles than I am you --- the power and love behind those changes. Draw my attention closer to you, not simply the signs and wonders. Help me ‘see’ through the eyes of faith and trust in you. And then help me share that faith with those I come in contact with today. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
