Day 143 Bible Reading: 2 Samuel 3, John 13:1-20, Psalm 119:1-16 and Proverb 15:29-30 
The start of this psalm, the beginning of the Hebrew alphabet (aleph) begins with a statement of blessing for those committed to God's instruction. For the next 176 verses, the psalmist expands on this theme --- the importance of God's laws, statutes, wisdom, word, decrees, commands, and promises. Jesus did not fulfill the letter of the law but the spirit of the law. Walking with God means led by the spirit; it is truly a place of blessing!

"Father God, I'm so thankful for your word today. How could I live without it? It truly gives me light on my path; strength for each new day.
