Day 161 Bible Reading: 1 Kings 7, Acts 7:30-53, Psalm 128 and Proverb 16:31-33 
Psalm 128 is another word of reassurance from God on how much He delights in showering us with his kindness and goodness. His heart is bubbling with joy and everything good and perfect. For the ancient Israelites, blessedness consisted of a productive farm, a faithful wife and children around the table together. And so God relates to them and lets them understand that He desires nothing less but His best for them and their families.
God has not changed in His desire to bless us abundantly. He gave His best gift to us in no less than His only son to die for us so we can once again be aligned with His perfect and fantastic plan. Today we are sons and daughters of God. We are a new creation. We are a temple of the Holy Spirit.
We are a citizen of the Kingdom of God. We need to have reverence for our King – Jesus who rules our life. He is our Creator, Master, Redeemer, and he calls us friend.
