Day 166 Bible Reading: 1 Kings 14-15, Acts 10:1-33, Psalm 133 and Proverb 17:7-8 
This Psalm expresses the same spiritual truth as in John 17, Jesus prayed for His disciples and all generations of believers. Jesus prayed for you and me even before we were born. John 17:20-23, Jesus prayed "…all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us … I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one. I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know …" Jesus did not pray for us to "become one," but rather that we may "be one." Because of Jesus, we are reconciled with God, now we are one in Christ, we are in one Spirit, and all are baptised in one Lord. We are one with one another. We all call our God, "Abba Father." When we are oneness, God is pleased, his anointing and presence come to us.

"Father Lord, thank you for the unity you gave us. This is a gift from you. Help me to honor it, hold on it, and trust you. Help me be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love, make all effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen."
