Day 171 Bible Reading: 1 Kings 22, Acts 13, Psalm 138 and Proverb 17:17-18 
The Story in 1 Kings 22 tells us that before the war against the Syrians, to get back a city of Ramoth-Gilead, King of Judah, Jehoshaphat obeyed God and sought Him first. He also encouraged his partner to do this same. However, King of Israel, Ahab, sought his team, the false prophets' advice first. You can continue to read this Story of what happened to King Ahab. God will greatly reward those who put their faith in Him by seeking His voice first instead of themselves, their team, their knowledge, and their resources. Matt6:33, Jesus said, "seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

"Father Lord, Heaven, and earth will pass away, but the Word of The Lord will stand firm forever. For those who follow your word and trust in, you will have a successful life. Pray the Lord to help us turn from putting our faith in people, resources, and media, but instead to the lasting Rock that is Christ Jesus. In Jesus' precious name, I pray, Amen."
