Day 179 Bible Reading: 2 Kings 13-14, Acts 18:23-28, Psalm 146 and Proverb 18:2-3 
Psalm 146:3 warns us not to put our trust in mortal men, not even those in high positions, for they cannot save you nor save themselves from the grave. Our faith must be in the Lord Jesus and not in men. The Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth, Jesus knew our needs. Jesus had and has all power, he refused to be a king, but he chose to be on the cross. He triumphed through weakness, carrying our sins, burdens, oppressions through His own death and give us new life through His resurrection. Jesus is faithful to all His promises, and loving toward all has made. His Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom. (Psalm145:12-13)

"Eternal God, Jesus Lord, I commit myself into your safekeeping. I will fix my eyes on you and put my trust in you alone, You are our promises. Lord! Amen."
