It's great to know that God has total freedom to give mercy and compassion to anyone He wants to. Thus, we are not to judge those who God favours. Likewise, no one can complain when we are at the receiving end of God's goodness. In His Kingdom, Jesus said that the last should be the first, the first shall be last. (Matthew 20:16)
"For he says to Moses, 'I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.'" – Romans 9:15 (English Standard Version)
"Lord, thank you that Your mercy and compassion are a gift - it cannot be earned or controlled by man. I come to Your throne of Grace and receive your gifts with a grateful heart. In Jesus' name, Amen."
