Day 222 Bible Reading: Ezra 10, 1 Corinthians 6, Psalm 31:9-18 and Proverb 21:3 
Paul builds on the unity of married couples when he reminds us of our close affinity with Christ. As believers we are ‘members of Christ himself,’ and we are ‘one with him in Spirit.’ It is personal. We are the bride of Christ! His will determines our will; his priorities become ours; his power is available to us. It is a mysterious ‘merger of love’ that can only be experienced through Him.

"Father God, I thank you for your unfailing love to me that is demonstrated in Jesus Christ. Thank you for making me part of yourself and part of your church. When temptation comes, convict my heart that it would deeply hurt Jesus my spouse if I connive my sins. Restore the joy of my salvation and help me respond to your love accordingly. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
