2019-09-02 (MON) Reputation Of Integrity

Day 245 Bible Reading: Ecclesiastes 1-5, 2 Corinthians 6:1-13, Psalm 46 and Proverbs 22:15 Link opens new window

The compiler of Proverbs reminds us it takes a long time to build a valued reputation. The person of genuine integrity does exactly what he/she says. Their 'yes' means 'yes'; their 'no' means 'no.' You can count on what they say. Furthermore, their reputation carries a gracious, generous, and merciful quality. If we wear the badge of a 'Christ follower,' we'd do well to remember this essential truth.

"The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress." - Psalm 46:6-7 (ESV)

"Dear Heavenly Father, am I a person of integrity? Examine me, Lord. May my speech and actions today conform to your model of simple, direct, honest statements. Help me to build a reputation, which brands me as a Christ-follower, a citizen of the Kingdom, a son, a daughter of the Heavenly Father. In Jesus' name, Amen."
