Day 249 Bible Reading: Song of Solomon 5-6, 2 Corinthians 8:16-24, Psalm 50 and Proverbs 22:22-23 
As you read through this poetic drama over these few days, let the passion of these two lovers be an inspiration to you. May it rekindle the spark of your affection for your spouse, and even more important, may you learn, feel and experience a similar passion for our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ who gave his life for us. We are the bride of the groom, lover of the groom; beloved and friends of Jesus. In this verse, we are His daring bride as a powerful troop marching with its victory banners.

"Dear Lord, I confess too often my passion for you has waned. The busyness of life and daily routines preoccupy my heart. Regretfully I have not been thinking about how much you mean to me. Restore the passion in my soul. You are my delight. I am your son and also part of your army for furthering the Kingdom. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen!"
