King David truly knew God. He knew God gives salvation, and God gives real rest. Jesus said, if you are hungry, come to me, if you are thirsty, come to me, if you are sick, come to me, if you are a sinner, come to me, if you are weary, come to me, for I will save you, make you whole and give you rest. Our full complete rest in Christ begins when we fully enter into the kingdom of God. We enter into God's rest (Hebrews 4:1-3) when who have believed and surrendered our lives to the King Jesus Christ. Entering the Kingdom of God implies a ceasing of our work and resting securely on what Christ has done.
