Day 336 Bible Reading: Daniel 9-10, 1 John 3:1-10, Psalm 121 and Proverbs 28:25-26 
We'd have to admit that Daniel took prayer seriously. He dressed differently, he ate differently. He prayed passionately, based on his understanding of Scriptures (the prophet Jeremiah). The word 'pleaded' here is to beg repeatedly, to ask again and again. Daniel knew 70 years was nearly up, and if anything was going to happen, God had to do it. How passionate are we about praying? Am I in love with God for reaching out to lost souls? Am I in love with God, so to build a great relationship with my heavenly father? How do you respond to God's love and grace? We are called to return to his passion. We pray because we respond to God's love and grace. God called and loved us first.

"Forgive me, Lord, for the fact that prayers sometimes became routine. When I compare my communication with you and Daniel’s, I want to learn to pray with passion and conviction because I want to love you and respond to your great love to me. I don’t want to pray as a religious person as a duty, but in love with you. So help me, Lord. In Jesus' precious name, Amen."
