Day 340 Bible Reading: Hosea 4-5, 2 John 1, Psalm 125 and Proverbs 29:5-8 
The wise person is temperate and self-controlled. He has a calm spirit at all times and never loses control of his temper. In contrast, the fool who lacks self-restraint loses his temper quickly and gives full vent to his anger. This is from King Solomon's observation. Paul said you are a new creation when you are in Christ. You will have a unique nature of modern identity. The fruits of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control. The Greek word translated "fruit" refers to the natural product of a living thing. Paul used "fruit" to help us understand the outcome of the Holy Spirit, who lives inside every believer. You already have the fruit – self-control. The only thing you need to do is offer your self-control.

"Father, I commit myself to bring forth the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Lord, help me to offer more gentle and self-controlled to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
