Day 355 Bible Reading: Zechariah 1-2, Revelation 12, Psalm 140 and Proverbs 30:15-16
If you have neither money nor connections, you are vulnerable. Do you know that even you are rich and have many networks, you are still vulnerable. We are living in a fallen world. A prince of lies and darkness influences the world. The Psalmist reminds us that God is the ultimate arbiter of justice and fairness. He sent his son to us. When He stands up for the poor and helpless, he gives hope, joy, and peace to them. Jesus came to die for us; he did not come to change the Rome Emperor. His kingdom is on earth now. His wisdom is pure and gives peace to the world.
"I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and will execute justice for the needy." – Psalm 140:12 (English Standard Version)
"Dear Lord, help me to share your concern for justice and protection for those in our society who are most vulnerable. Help me to see the world through your eyes, and to be your hands and feet here and now in this city. Help me do what you will do to this city. In Jesus' name, Amen."
