Reflection
We live in a world where wickedness, sin and darkness are amplified. The Bible says darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness will cover the people, but the good news is that, Jesus said “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:14)
John 1:5 says “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” We, as believers, are the light of this dark world and as light, darkness can never overpower us. Let’s be conscious of this truth always and lighten up our city with the life of God. Praise God forevermore.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for making us the light in this dark world. In You and through You we shine forth. No amount of darkness can overcome us. We declare that our city is lit up with the life of Christ in Jesus’ name. Amen.
