Reflection
Paul pleaded but the “thorn” remained. Jesus pleaded in the Garden of Gethsemane, yet He was crucified. I have also desperately pleaded with God, but I did not receive the answer I hoped for.
A “No” from God is not always a rejection - it can be a redirection. When God said "No" to Paul, He said "Yes" to sufficient grace. When He said "No" to Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, He said "Yes" to the salvation of the world. While a “No” may deny me a temporary rescue, it always provides the permanent, sufficient grace I need to sustain me through every trial.
Prayer
Dear Lord, help me to trust Your sovereign heart over my limited sight when my prayers feel unanswered. Thank You that even when Your answer is "No,” Your grace is always enough to sustain me through every thorn. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
