Reflection
As the lead of a user experience team, part of my job is to search and present honest feedback from users whether a product is useful or not. This helps us continuously refine the product to better meet our users’ needs. It comes with challenges, because some features people have worked on for long may not be well received, requiring us to cutting losses and pivoting the product in a different direction. For those who have invested much time and effort on the product, the truth can hurt. It may also mean people do not want to hear the truth and choose to keep going in the same direction.
This mirrors real life.
- Do you avoid friends/relatives who will tell you the truth?
- Do you ignore warning signs and still go ahead with something?
- Do you brush over your feelings and put on a brave face to keep going?
Prayer
Father, help us quiet our hearts and be honest before You. Help us to face the truth, and see Your face alongside it. We take comfort that Your Living Word continues to wash over us, and though it may be painful at first, we WILL be set free. Amen!
