Reflection
Solomon possessed unmatched wisdom, wealth, and power. Yet, 1 Kings 11:4 reveals his heart turned away from God in his later years. Prosperity can be spiritually dangerous. It is easy to seek God desperately in trouble, but harder to remain dependent when life goes well. Comfort often breeds complacency. We may feel we have "made it" on our own strength.
Do not let prosperity separate you from your Creator. Your talents and blessings are not for self-glorification but for His Kingdom. Stay humble. Stay dependent. Guard your heart in every season, ensuring your success draws you closer to God, not away from Him.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for every blessing. Remind us that all we have belongs to You. Protect us from complacency when things go well. Help us use our talents to glorify You and extend Your kingdom. Keep our hearts wholly true to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
