The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for JESUS, who has been crucified. He is not here; He has risen, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay."Matthew 28: 5-6 (ESV)
JESUS died and rose again on the third day is a doctrinal foundational pillar of our Faith. “It was impossible for death to keep its hold on Him” (Acts 2:24) was true yesterday, it is true today, and will be true tomorrow. To put it simply, the Cross and the Resurrection are our core beliefs as Christians.
1 Corinthians 15:14 cannot be clearer: “And if CHRIST has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.”
Given that Covid - 19 is gripping lives and governments globally, as children of the Living God, we can live and walk in the fullness of the resurrection power everyday. Because we know JESUS CHRIST, we can “experience the mighty power that raised Him from the dead” (Phil 3:10)
Dear Jesus we celebrate Your resurrection! You reign yesterday, today and You will reign forever! We pray for those who do not yet know You, those around the world who are living in fear. May we go with Your authority to share the Good News and make disciples of all nations! Amen.
