Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.”Matthew 28:10 (ESV)
As promised, Jesus is risen. He is seated at the right hand of the Father, and He is Lord. He reigns!
Since this is so, why should we be afraid for our lives? However, fear will creep in when we focus on the things of this world. The apostle Paul teaches us in Philippians 4:4-8 three things we can do.
1) To rejoice always.
2) To pray and give thanks always. His peace will guard our hearts.
3) To focus instead on things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy.
Lord, I choose this day to glorify Your name! I thank You for Your grace and Your abundant blessings. Help me remember this day that You reign and I have nothing to fear. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
