Though the young woman compares herself to insignificant wild flowers of the fields, she is so precious in the eyes of her beloved. This picture is a foreshadow of God’s greatest expression of His Love for humanity, which would be fulfilled in the coming of His Son Jesus Christ. As much as we were unworthy and insignificant, Jesus has made us beautiful in the eyes of God.
Heavenly Father, the grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of God stands forever. Though our physical body will fade away, we have become a new creation through Jesus that we may live forever with God. Thank You Lord for Your Love that is clearly manifested in Christ. Amen!
