No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.John 10:18 (NIV)
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.2 Corinthians 5:21 (NIV)
Many stories throughout history had inspired me. However, there is One whose story surpasses them all. As I read about the events leading to the Crucifixion and Resurrection, I am deeply grateful for Christ’s surrendered heart and His intentional love for us. The journey to the Cross was of divine purpose, borne with each of our names carved upon His heart. Jesus chose to die that we may live. Our story in sin exchanged for His Story of Victory. Through Him we live.
Thank You Lord Jesus for the Divine Exchange. Lord, grant us the courage and strength to choose Your Way and not be hindered by the voices around us but to trust You and bear fruit for Your Kingdom. In our weakness, may You show Your strength. In our victories, may Your Name be glorified. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
