Jesus rose from the dead and is alive. That is the bedrock of my faith. He bore my pain and was crushed for my sins. Praise God that by his wounds, I am healed. I often sing this old hymn to myself:
He lives! Christ Jesus lives today You ask me how I know he lives? He lives within my heart.
Thank You Jesus for dying on the cross for me. I know my salvation is costly. You gave your life for me and I am very grateful. Please give me the strength to cling on to Your promises in the midst of chaos, and to run the race you set for me, looking always to Jesus. Let me see with the eyes of faith, knowing the great cloud of witnesses who have survived the race and now cheer me on. In Jesus' name. Amen.
