Obedience, "or full allegiance", is better than sacrifice. Ants, locusts and other species rank and march in an obedient unity to accomplish a common goal. They do this without a clear leader and with evident rewards. Why can’t we as followers of Christ display the same diligence? Are we not much more advanced creatures than they are? In the eyes of our Creator, are we not more valuable than them to receive even bigger rewards when we obey God the Father? Abraham obeyed, and we see his rewards to this day.
Father God thank You for Your mercy and grace. Please remove from us a heart of stone and give us a new heart, one of flesh and put in us a new spirit, one that will obey You and You alone. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, Amen.
