Five times in his short speech, Caleb summarised the 45-year period since his 40’s with “The Lord said”.
Born slave, a Kenizzite yet now representing Judah, he despised giant enemies without and peer pressure within. From Kadesh-barnea transition, he fought for the promised land and claimed Hebron the problematic ground. His faith, mind, physique and passion stay vigorous as day one, because he has a different spirit (attitude) and wholly follows the Lord.
Lord Jesus, our Chief Commander, thank You for the inspiring recording of Caleb. Your Word is a lamp to our feet, a light to our path. Your joy is our strength, and You will keep our going out and coming in. Ever since day one, the past and age don’t matter. It has been, always, and because of You who keeps us in vigor. In Your Mighty Name, Amen.
