Are you anxious about external things? Mortgage to pay, savings for retirement, which jobs or schools children are in? Jesus commands us not to be anxious. Anxiety arises from nervousness or worrying about uncertain outcomes. We are called to be diligent at work (Proverbs 10:4), but God does not want you to be stressed by it. Your supply does not come from your job; your Father who clothes the flowers is your source and your supply!
Father, we rest on You. We cast all our anxieties, uncertainties, and worries on You. Your love for us is so detailed and complete that even our hairs are all numbered. We trust that You will supply all our needs. We can walk into the unknown with strength, and sleep well as You are watching over us all the time. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
