But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.Galatians 5:16 (ESV)
Spirit and flesh are contrary to one another. The flesh is selfish, proud, stingy, trusting in its own ability to find its own way without God, reaping nothing and keeping you from the things you want to do. But the Spirit is selfless, giving, generous and loving. When we place our trust in Jesus and live to please the Spirit; then we will live by the grace of God and will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.
Father God, help me today to be aligned with the Spirit and seek Your guidance in my decisions and sow seeds of Your love and kindness. Make me aware of the needs of others and show me ways to offer encouragement, appreciation, forgiveness and kindness to others. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
