In Luke chapter 15, Jesus spoke about the lost sheep, the lost coin and the lost son. These parables of Jesus encourage me so much. Regardless of the stage in a person‘s life, whether it is like the lost sheep that wanders away and doesn’t know his way home or like the prodigal son who knows his way home but is too ashamed of his own sins or even like the lost coin that is so lifeless and buried away, it is God the Son, the Father and the Holy Spirit who would continue to pursue the lost one until they are found. Jesus says there will be great rejoicing in Heaven when one sinner repents, with God being the most joyful of all.
Father, we thank You for loving all of us relentlessly and for Your promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us. Help us to love You and others the way You love us. In Jesus' name, Amen.
