While you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.Acts 4:30-31 (ESV)
Healing the sick along with proclaiming the Kingdom, casting out demons and cleansing lepers are all different “kingdom activities”. The Holy Spirit empowers us to do these acts but faith and obedience in Jesus activates us to do so. In our Kingdom Group, we had a girl who suffered a broken back from an injury rendering her in deep physical suffering. The Holy Spirit prompted us to pray for healing in faith and she was instantly healed before our eyes. To step out, speak, and act in boldness – we need to be confident and have faith in the power and authority of Jesus. Listen to the prompting of the Spirit, trust and obey even when it’s scary.
Father, I pray that we may always step out in faith, courage and obedience whenever the Spirit prompts to partner with You in Your work and glorify Your name. Amen.
