Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.1 Timothy 4:12 (ESV)
I led a group of church members studying the Bible in 90 Days quite a few years ago. Despite some being young in age or “Church age”, they were still wise while studying the word of God. I found out that I could always learn from them through their simple faith. Therefore, we should not despise any youth because of their maturity or capabilities. Instead, we should speak and act in God’s way to groom them to become what God calls them to be.
Dear Father, we lift up ourselves to You and pray that You would always guide us in whatever we speak and act. Let the Holy Spirit always be with us and let us be the example for the young. We pray that You would always remind us not to despise the young because of their maturity or capabilities. Amen.
