But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.John 1:12-13 (ESV)
When I accepted Jesus as my Lord, I was born again into the family of God where I instantly became a brother to a great multitude of believers. Just like I had no choice of who my parents are and who my siblings would be, I cannot choose who would be born into my new family of God for it is the Father’s desire that no one should perish. But I do have a choice how to live my life in this family. I can choose to be a difficult sibling or I can be a blessing to my brothers and sisters regardless of who they are. What is your choice?
Father, I thank You that Your love enables Your children to love one another and Your grace empowers us to forgive one another. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
