To get a fire started, we can begin with tiny bits of wood or small branches. However, to keep the fire burning, we must put in large pieces of fire wood. Similarly, to keep the fire of our faith burning in a cold and unbelieving environment, we need the support and encouragement from a spiritual family. Indeed, we cannot stay strong alone. We must be devoted to fellowship with other believers.
Abba Father, thank You that we are fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household. We need the church family to grow spiritually, and to encourage one another to love and do good work. Empower us to obey You and be committed to fellowship with other believers. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen.
