When I was a child, my parents brought me to “church” – it just represented a building and programmes to me. After I recommitted my life to Christ in university, I increasingly appreciated my brothers and sisters in Christ, and my spiritual fathers and mothers. After I came to HK to work, my church family has been my bedrock, being there for me in good and bad times. My church family have extended to me love, support, honesty, acceptance and forgiveness, and together we are “members of God’s household”.
Abba Father, thanks for my spiritual mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers. May we never be weary of encouraging each other to grow in love and support for each other. May we demonstrate that the church is not LIKE a family but it IS family. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
