As a young child I learned from my father observing how he go about doing things, like fixing the lights, repairing the chair. I also saw how he lost his temper and his emotional outbursts. I copied that too.
As a father we have a lot of influence over our children, we teach them through our words as well as our actions. I know of a cell group leader who is full of Bible knowledge but what drew me to him was his care for his members. He is a spiritual father to many of us.
Oh Heavenly Father, thank You for teaching us through Your Word. Thank You also for sending Your Son to live among us so that we may imitate Him. Help us to become a spiritual father, who can teach and be a role model. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
