The notion of ‘Child’ goes beyond biological children. We associate youth with bright futures and limitless possibilities. Our heart shatters when the lives of the younger ones are taken. Guns kill nearly 1,300 innocent children in the US each year. A recent one was the fatal shooting on an unarmed 25-year-old jogger in Georgia, US.
The youth in this generation face outrageous conflicts, temptations and shakings that only our Heavenly Father can navigate. Love our youth with God’s purpose, plant in them the principles of the Kingdom of God with an unwavering heart for Jesus.
Father, help us to have compassion for our young generation, help us to love them with Your heart. Protect and guide them as You do to us (Ps 32:8). Open our eyes to share the good news and seize any opportunity to disciple them with Your truth so that they can walk in the light and live out a God’s driven life. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
