There is a Chinese idiom that says “one food feeds a hundred types of men”. I grew up believing we are all born with different looks, builds, intellects and characters; we are not equal. Different race, social class and family wealth also determines a person’s path. When I became a Christian, I gradually realised this belief was so worldly and it is the same belief that block many from exhibiting God’s deep love to each other. None of us is more superior or inferior in God’s eyes. We are all His wonderful creation and we should all learn to perceive each other as equal and become more like Jesus as we are new creations in Christ.
Father God, we thank You for creating us with unique qualities and that we are equally precious and well-loved in Your eyes. Make us the instruments of Your love and peace on earth, to break down divisions and discrimination. In Jesus name, Amen.
