Seeds are the Word of God. Soil is our heart. How we respond to the Word determines what kind of soil our heart looks like. How can we guide our heart that the soil isn’t rocky and thorny? Jesus also made an interesting remark that he who has ears, let him hear. Jesus knows the people heard it, but He is challenging them to hear with spiritual ears – ears that listen to the Spirit.
Father, I do not just want to hear, I want to listen – with an expectation to have my mind transformed daily. I choose to take time to hear Your Word, understand Your Word. Let Your Word take root, grow, produce a harvest. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
